Ok, are you interested in something relaxing? Croatia has that too, here are the locations where you can relax with our playlist. Croatia’s Adriatic coastline is famous for its crystal-clear waters, dramatic cliffs, and charming seaside towns. But beyond the bustling tourist hotspots lie hidden gems!
Northern Dalmatia
-
Vrgada (island near Pakoštane)
– A small, car-free island — peaceful, with beautiful beaches and crystal-clear sea.
– Far enough from mass tourism, yet close enough to the mainland if you need civilization. -
Iž (Mali Iž & Veli Iž)
– Between Ugljan and Dugi Otok — perfect for a complete getaway.
– Tourism oriented toward locals — no mass parties or crowds.
– Well connected to Zadar by ferry.
Central Dalmatia
- Island of Šolta (especially Gornje Selo, Donje Selo, Maslinica)
– Peaceful, green, authentic — and only a 30-minute ferry ride from Split.
– Ideal for cycling, wine, olives, and a total mental reset. -
Drvenik Veli (near Trogir)
– A small, very relaxed island with a few bays and crystal-clear waters.
– If you love the feeling of being “at the end of the world,” this is it.
Southern Dalmatia
- Pelješac Peninsula
– A peaceful place with a homely vibe and excellent beaches.
– Pelješac in general has many hidden coves if you avoid Orebić and Lovište. -
Janjina, Putnikovići, or Kuna (Pelješac interior)
– If you love wine, nature, and olive groves, this is a hidden gem.
– The sea is just a 10-minute drive away, but you sleep surrounded by silence. -
Molunat (south of Dubrovnik)
– The last village before Montenegro. Authentic, quiet, clean, and often “forgotten” on tourist maps.
Bonus: Rivers & Hinterland
-
Zrmanja, Cetina or the area around Drniš / Imotski
– If you prefer nature and swimming in rivers instead of the sea.
– Ideal for kayaking, hiking, and a complete escape from the coast.
